2 Track Chase

The 2 Track Chase setting is commonly used for waving hands, legs moving, chopping motions and railroad crossing lights for Christmas light displays.

3 Track Chase

The 3 Track Chase setting is very popular. It is commonly used for chase lights on signs, buildings and convention displays. 3 Track Chase can be used to animate wheels for Christmas light displays.

3 Track Back and Forth

The 3 Track Back and Forth setting (Track Back and Forth) is commonly used for waving hands, legs moving and chopping motions.

Setting a New Chase Pattern
A 4TU-18 will arive pre-set in four track chase. The photograph on the right is a front view of the circuit board located inside the controller. Note: All settings should be applied with the controller unplugged. Remove screw and the front panel. The dip switch and jumpers are adjustable with needle nose pliers. The dip switch has eight toggle switches. Gently depress the switch that corresponds with the diagram (below) for your desired setting. The jumpers are pulled up and off the posts and pressed into place with pliers.

The controller will turn on the numbered receptacles according to the chase pattern you set.

4 Position Animation Steps: 6 Pattern: 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2 repeat This setting requires 2 special order jumper wires.
Adding a blank ( all receptacles off ) First achieve a chase setting that you like. Then add blank steps by depressing the next dip switch down. To add a two step blank depress the 2nd to next dip switch down. All chaser controllers have a ten step maximum.
